Caroling at the Nursing Homes 12/15

Tonight we went out Christmas caroling at a couple of nursing homes in Conway. We sang several standard songs like Silent Night, Jingle Bells, and We Wish You a Merry Christmas. The residents were very welcoming and often joined in the singing. All agreed we must make this an annual event. Thanks Katie for making all the arrangements! Merry Christmas, everyone!

Small Group Meeting 12/12

Tonight we practiced our Christmas carols for our up coming event at the local nursing homes.

We also made social and service projects plans for January and February.

Mike talked about child care starting in January. Also starting in January, a new small group focusing on topics for young married folks. (Single people can attend if they like.)

A list of the carols are here: http://frassatiplans.blogspot.com/2013/12/here-are-christmas-carols-we-are.html

The 12/5 Meeting AND Snow Tubing are Cancelled Due to Weather

NOAA Weather is forecasting freezing rain and a temperature drop tonight. Therefore, we need to stay safe and warm and off the roads. Tonight's meeting (12/5) is cancelled.

Wild River Country is closed for the weekend also. We'll reschedule for another, nicer day.

Stay warm! God bless.

Frassati Feeds the Homeless

"For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, a stranger and you welcomed me..." - Matthew 25:35

On Saturday, November 30, just days after celebrating Thanksgiving dinner with our own families, members of Frassati came together to prepare and serve a meal to many of our homeless brothers and sisters at Bethlehem House here in Conway.

Bethlehem House offers case management, employment assistance, life skills training, advocacy, education, vocational counseling, transportation, guidance, love and the support necessary to recover from the devastation of homelessness.

Many thanks to all of those who were able to help prepare and serve this important meal. With your help, we were able to serve about 60 men, women, and children. God bless you all.
